TERRY MORAN (ABC NEWS) (Off-camera) Good evening, I'm Terry Moran and happy New Year, everyone. Well on this New Year's Day, as America mourns the passing of a president, and the world marks the execution of a dictator, it's power in its various forms we look back on tonight. This weekend brought a grim reminder of the world at war. The number of US troops killed in Iraq has now passed 3,000. And as crowds in Iraq celebrated Saddam Hussein's execution, others rallied in protest underscoring that nation's violent divisions.
