The article examines how 17-year-old Alex Yoder was able to convince officials to retain the name of Ringling Bridge in Sarasota, Florida. It states that state officials and legislators decided to rename the bridge in honor of businessman Gil Waters. Yoder launched a signature campaign and posted an online petition to stop the renaming. His move was picked up by the media and he received a plaque of appreciation while the bridge retained its name. |
