Abstrakt: The article reports on the declining harvest of timber in Oregon. It states that the decreasing number of harvests from private forestland owners pushed the state's timber harvest to its smallest levels since the recession-based record low on 2001. According to the Oregon Department of Forestry, an 11 percent or 344 million board-feet, decrease in volume from forest, industry landowners was accompanied by a 43 percent decline in harvests on non-industrial private lands.
