The article reports on the growing trend of using bicycle as a mode of transportation in New York. It states that one factor attributing the trend is the high gas prices. According to Steve Moon, owner of Tarrytown Cycles, the sales of bikes on his store are about 20% above compared in 2007. Ted Rubel of JRT Associates believes that more people will use bicycles if the government will provide a safe lane for riders. |
