The author reflects on the teen job crisis in Massachusetts. The collapse of the teen labor market in the state has affected demographic and socioeconomic groups and illustrates that the state is no longer a national leader in teen employment. He highlights path dependency as a major problem in rising youth joblessness and acknowledges the effort of U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy to develop job-creation programs for teens. |
