The article reports on the performance of Western Digital Corp. in the disk drive market in California. In 2007, the manufacturer has doubled its market share for drives used in portable computers. Data from Trend Focus Inc. showed that the drive maker is in the No. 2 spot in the overall market, behind Seagate Technology LLC. It is noted that the company's growth is driven by a surging demand for laptops and portable external drives. |
