The article focuses on the federal court ruling to stop the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) from implementing new rules on certain aspects of patent prosecution. This prevents PTO from enforcing new rules on patent applications that would weaken protection of significant biological and chemical inventions. The rules limited the number of independent claims to five and the total number of claims to 25. |
