The article reports that the death toll in a suicide attack in Afghanistan has reached 72. On November 9, 2007, the Afghan Education Ministry said that the number of schoolchildren killed in the attack on November 6, 2007 increased to 59, pushing the overall toll to 72. The governor of Baghlan province where the attack took place, however, has confronted the statistics, saying the toll was 54 dead and 106 wounded. The terrorist organization Taliban is said to have carried out the attack. |
