The article offers author's view on legal issues concerning the installation of video surveillance cameras in the workplace. The author explains that although an employer has a number of business reasons, it is still important for the employer to remember that employees have to some extent, a legal right to privacy. Courts will support an employer's use of video surveillance in open and public work areas inside and outside the work premises, but must avoid areas where employees expect privacy. |
