The article features La Farm Bakery judged by "Business North Carolina" (BNC) as Small Business of the Year for 2007. The business which started in 1999 is owned by master baker Lionel and Missy Vatinet, an expert of the retail-food and restaurant industry. It makes handmade bread and pastries using local organic ingredients and are free of preservatives. La Farm products are also sold at the Triangle stores of the Whole Foods Market and Biaggi's. Since the development of their web site, their products have been selling very well through the Internet. |
