| Abstrakt: |
The article reports that states throughout the U.S. are updating legislation in response to advances in forensic science. Rules regarding the analysis and handling of forensic evidence, which may acquit persons found guilty in court of criminal charges, are being scrutinized. Procedures for collecting witness testimony are also being looked at. The states that do not have laws giving inmates access to DNA evidence are listed, as well as those approving witness identification bills. |
