The author reflects on the importance of immigration reform to the economy in the U.S. The author identified the three additional issues that must be part of a national reform package. According to the author, improving the nation's immigration system is critical if it plans to maintain a competitive edge in the global economy. He also said that the Congress must do a better job of reimbursing hospitals for costs incurred in providing health care services to undocumented immigrations. |
