The article discusses the best and worst companies which were found on the "Wall Street Journal" 2006 Shareholder Scoreboard. The scoreboard reviewed the financial performance of 1,000 U.S. companies in 75 industries for 2006 and from 1996 to 2006, and also over three, five and ten year periods. Chico's FAS was found to be the worst performer for 2006, Nutrisystem was found to be the best 3 and 5 year performer, and Tenet Healthcare was found to be the worst three and five year performer. |
