The article reports on trends relevant to tourism and events in Oregon citing business opportunities offered by the bicentennial commemoration of Lewis and Clark's epic three-year trek to the Pacific Ocean which ended in September 2006. The trek ended with a final event in St. Louis and some places along the Corps of Discovery route. The "Lewis and Clark: the National Bicentennial Exhibition," was hosted by the Oregon Historical Society which is expected to attract tourists to the region. |
