Abstrakt: The article reports on immense changes in lifestyles brought about by new technologies. About 400,000 Georgia credit card holders would be the first in the country to test a new technology that allows them to pay for items by waving their card near a terminal instead of swiping it through a machine. Moreover, Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co.'s Pay-By-Touch technology lets shoppers in Georgia and South Carolina literally pay their bills with the touch of a finger. Consumers quickly and securely make a biometric payment for purchases with a finger scan.
