BALTIMORE, April 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MurphyPA announced the filing of a 5-count civil lawsuit claiming Baltimore City Police Officer Timothy Everett Beall, (whom reportedly resides outside of Glen Rock, PA), and the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore are responsible for the wrongful death of 27-year-old former Towson University Student, Haines Holloway-Lilliston, formerly of Camden, NJ, in July 2010. The lawsuit alleges Officer Beall defied an order to break off a high-speed chase that led far outside Baltimore City limits before he rammed his police cruiser into back of Holloway-Lilliston's motorcycle on the exit ramp from Beltway 695 at Dulaney Valley Road. Holloway-Lilliston died of massive internal injuries as a result of the crash. Officer Beall chased Holloway-Lilliston believing he had been involved in a "speed contest" on Interstate 83 with another vehicle. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
