The article reports on the fund granted by the U.S. Department of Transportation to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. The money is intended for repairs, reconstruction, debris removal and road replacement needed after hurricanes Katrina and Rita. An estimate of 629 million dollars will go to the expansion of the Twin Span into a six-lane bridge parallel to the current bridge. |
