The article reports on the approval of U.S. District Judge Sarah Vance to the plan of McDermott International Inc. to settle asbestos injury cases in 2006. The cost of the claims will range from $375 million to $955 million. McDermott will pay an additional $350 million for the claims if the U.S. Congress failed to pass a bill that would establish a trust fund for asbestos victims. |
