The article focuses on a forthcoming plan that will connect Yahoo! Inc.'s vast online service to Tivo Inc.'s set-top boxes. It is suggested that the deal will allow TiVo to make better use of its largely unused capability to connect to the Internet. According to the author, the deal also makes sense for Yahoo! because it will further its goal of moving towards more personalized technology. Details of the deal, which includes access to Yahoo! television listings for all TiVo users, are discussed. |
