Ciarán Lavery is a solo artist from the remote Antrim village of Aghagallon, but despite having a name that may suggest some windswept acoustic guitar-wielding troubadour, Lavery favours layered soundscapes with synths and samples as well as guitar, piano and light orchestration. Proof of his singular approach is the short film that accompanies his new album Light Entertainment.
