The article reports on the efforts of International Olympic Committee officials in defending the eligibility of female boxers Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan and Imane Khelif of Algeria in the 2024 Paris Olympics Games in France a year after their disqualification from the 2023 world championships. It discusses the lack of scientific, political and social consensus on how to resolve eligibility issues across women's sports and informs about the gender testing administered in 2022 and 2023. |
