Abstrakt: Architects Linda Searl and Joe Valerio, who are married but rarely work together professionally, are selling their unique Ukrainian Village house. The house, which became a visual landmark in the neighborhood, was built in two phases. The first phase was completed in 1989 and consisted of a brick box with glass "ears" rising above it. The upper two floors, clad in metal, were finished a decade later. The house is listed for just under $1.5 million and is represented by Joanne Nemerovski of Compass. Searl and Valerio are selling the house to make Florida their primary home but will keep a rented apartment in a building designed by Valerio's firm. [Extracted from the article]
