The article reports on the decision by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City to return 16 major Khmer era artworks to Camboadia and Thailand. The artworks include important pieces that are described as the finest surviving examples of sculptures from the Agkor period. The museum announced earlier in 2023 its efforts to review its collections and policies with a goal to return objects with problematic histories. |
