The author discusses obstacles that special counsel Jack Smith should overcome in order to win the case brought against former U.S. President Donald J. Trump over keeping classified documents and other presidential records at his private club in Florida. First is the need for Smith to keep the story simple. Another potential hurdle is the defenses by Trump who claims that he can declassify documents. Another move suggested is the need to educate the public that the charges are merited. |
