Pick of the day radio 3 in concert 7.30pM, radio 3 ????... Tonight's concert by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, coming live from St David's Hall in Cardiff, opens with the Concert Overture written by Welsh composer Grace Williams. She was taught by Ralph Vaughan Williams and became the first British woman to write the score for a feature film, Blue Scar, set in a Welsh mining village. Also on the evening's lively programme are Don Quixote (right) by Richard Strauss, with cellist Alice Neary in the role of Don Quixote, and principal viola Rebecca Jones as his squire, Sancho Panza.
