ELON MUSK'S new Twitter policy to ban 'doxxing' will spell the end for football's transfer window tradition of live-tweeting the location of private planes carrying players. Musk, the world's richest man and overseer of Twitter, which he bought for $44billion in October, introduced a rule by which anyone revealing an individual's private information without permission — known as 'doxxing' — is suspended from the social media platform. Since the inception of social media, football fans have taken to tracking private planes to show where their transfer targets are heading. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
