IRELAND'S cricket tour of Pakistan was all set to start as scheduled at 4.30 this morning despite the bid to assassinate former prime minister Imran Khan. Ireland women were due to play the first of three oneday internationals against Pakistan in Lahore, 150km from Wazirabad where the former cricket star was shot in the leg yesterday. The teams are due to play three Twenty20s next week too. Cricket Ireland said last night that it was liaising with the Pakistan Cricket Board, incountry security advisors and diplomatic services.
