FROM THE DAILY MAIL ARCHIVE MAY 27, 1974 THOUSANDS of hysterical girls stopped pop idol David Cassidy's farewell-to-London concert when they burst through barriers and rushed the stage last night. Two hundred security guards were powerless to stop screaming and weeping girls who ripped down a fence 20ft from the stage to reach their idol at the White City Stadium. MAY 27, 1975 STUNTMAN Evel Knievel was badly hurt last night when he crashed after leaping over 13 London buses on his motorbike.
