Abstrakt:	The U.S. Senate Commerce Chairman John McCain said today that Congress should take steps to expedite broadcasters' transition to digital television so the government can reallocate the analog spectrum for public safety communications and new commercial wireless services. McCain's views were similar to those expressed by his House counterpart, Energy and Commerce Chairman Joe Barton, who last week suggested Congress should require broadcasters to return all analog channels to the government by the end of 2006.
