Abstrakt: BERLIN. May 18 (Interfax) – Rosneft will limit oil production if Russia's agreement with OPEC to cut oil production is extended, starting with new, greenfield deposits," CEO Igor Sechin told journalists. "We will plan our work until the end of the year in order to comply with the agreements, nonetheless, special attention will be given to brownfields and to preparing new [fields] for launch, to be ready for competitive operation should the agreements be stopped," he said. "But we will monitor what is happening on the U.S. market, so the situation doesn't pass us by," Sechin said. Speaking at the launch of the company's new representative office in Germany, Sechin said that overall approved investment in the country will total 600 million euros. "They will be channeled into modernization of oil refineries, improving quality and other things," he said. Rosneft is considering the possibility of carrying out oil supplies to the southern German refinery group via the Transalpine Pipeline (TAL), but is not currently seeking to supply gas to Europe, including Germany due to legal limitations. However, it is not ruling out supplying gas from its international projects or from its Pechora LNG project. Rosneft and China's Beijing Gas are considering cooperation on shipments of LNG, the oil major said. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
