Abstrakt: The article discusses how a failure involving a piece of electrical equipment at one of Delta Air Lines Inc.'s facilities in Atlanta, Georgia caused the airline company's computer systems around the world to shut down resulting in hundreds of canceled and delayed flights on August 8, 2016. According to the article, a similar incident occurred at the Southwest Airlines Co.'s data center in Dallas, Texas. Failures involving backup computer systems are also assessed.
