Shared knowledge and subgroup influence during decision-making discussionsThis manuscript was submitted in response to a special call for studies exploring information exchange in teams. The special issue was the idea of Janet Sniezek in an effort to expand the awareness of JBDM readers to the issues that exist in the information exchange process necessary for effective team performance. Soon after enlisting Margaret A. Neale to serve as a co-editor of the issue with her, Janet became quite ill and passed away, unable to complete this last task she had set for herself. In the end, the call produced a number of manuscripts but only two survived the review process. However, even though there were only a small number of acceptable manuscripts, the Journal would like to acknowledge Janet's last efforts, the ongoing editorial roles played by Frank Yates and Margaret A. Neale, and the willingness of Janet, Frank, and Margaret's colleagues to serve as referees for the manuscripts.
