Abstrakt: Highlights: [•] We evaluated fragmentation effects on genetic diversity in the terrestrial orchid Cymbidium goeringii. [•] Continuous populations harboured significantly greater allelic richness than fragmented ones. [•] Fragmented populations also showed significantly higher genetic differentiation. [•] The small loss of allelic diversity could be recovered given the current moderate levels of gene flow. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
