The article discusses the efforts of water utilities in the U.S. in dealing with climate variability and water scarcity. It describes the water conservation program of the Valparaiso City Utilities in Indiana. Conservation Program Supervisor Marie Cefalo reveals their goal in their Beat the Heat summer water conservation campaign. Comments from Doug Bennett of the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) are included. |
