Abstrakt:	The article presents information on the need of ensuring energy security in Australia and the need of security of oil. The requirement of policies and its usage in transport sector, implementation of strategies for decreasing reliance on oil and developing alternative fuels that can be used in vehicles is discussed. A comparative study is conducted on the energy security policy of Australia, China and the U.S.
