Abstrakt: The article discusses how Great Britain addressed the problem of flood risk for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It cites a flood risk assessment conducted and showed a positive impact on flood risk for the park and surrounding communities. Three river-edge ponds were created at the north end of the Olympic Park to improve flood control and build more biodiversity while River Lee's banks were revitalized for a larger sustainable waterway restoration plan for Lower Lea Valley.
