Misconceptions fuel Rhode Island plant-based PET revolt.

Abstrakt: The article reports on the concerns raised by some buyers of post-consumer plastic bales recovered through Rhode Island's new recycling program. It states that buyers are claiming the presence of plant-based polyethylene terephtalate (PET) in the collected material. Sarah Kite, the director of recycling services for the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corp. (RIRRC), says that post-consumer plastic buyers expressed that they will only purchase 10% of plant-based material in bales of recovered PET.
