| Abstrakt: |
The article offers information on a study done on the five species of nesting sea turtles in the territorial waters of Bangladesh, namely at Sonadia Island. These sea turtle species include the olive ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea), the green (Chelonia mydas), the hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata), the loggerhead (Caretta caretta), and the leatherback (Demochelys coriacea). The study results show the effect of threats such as dog predation, egg poaching, and disturbance of nesting beaches. |
