Association of metal concentrations in drinking water with the incidence of motor neuron disease in a focus on the Kii Peninsula of Japan.

Abstrakt: The article presents a study which investigates the occurrence of motor neuron disease (MND) in Kii Peninsula, Japan associated with metal contamination in drinking water. The study use geometric means (GM) arithmetic means (AM) to evaluate the concentration of the eight metals including magnesium, calcium, and lead. Result shows a significant correlation of aluminum concentration in the incidence of MND.
