Abstrakt: The article presents a study on the effect of pesticides, surfactants, and heavy metals on heme oxygenase activity and metal-binding proteins (MBP) of Cyprinus carpio Linné, a freshwater red carp. The study conducted experiments on red carp which were injected with various chemicals and were killed three days after the injection. Results showed that the content of MBP in the hepatopancreas and kidney has increased, while heme oxygenase was greatly stimulated in the hepatopancreas.
