Abstrakt: The article presents a study that analyzes the genotoxic activity of samples collected from urban incinerators in Florence, Italy and compared them with those from the Snampregetti incinerator of Schio (Vicenza). The study is conducted through the use of Salmonella typhimurium and Saccharomyces cerevisiae microorganisms to evaluate the genotoxic activity of several substances. The results of the study show the presence of genotoxic activity formed during urban solid waste incineration.
