Abstrakt: The article presents a study which investigates mercury content in fishes such as cod, flounder, and perch with regards to their environment and length. The study examines 25 male samples of flounder that were collected at two sampling locations between 1984 and 1985, with the other two species. Results show that mercury content in flounder from the Waddensea with a length of 20-40 centimeter (cm) is higher compared to the mercury content in the flounder from the Western Scheldt, Netherlands.
