An introduction is presented in which the editor discusses various reports within the issue including the introduction of the history of contamination in North Eastern China by evaluating the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediment cores from Lianhuan Lake, the human and ecological risks of exposure to PAHs, and the toxicity testing through rodent models. |
