Abstrakt: The article uses a regression discontinuity model to evaluate the ways in which expanding preschool education opportunities within developing countries impact maternal labor markets. By analyzing data obtained from Argentina, the study finds that there is a positive correlation between preschool attendance of the youngest child within a given household and work incentives for a mother within the same household. Conditions that impact these estimates include the level of schooling obtained by the mother and other exogenous covariates.
