Abstrakt:	The article advocates for the development of distributed electricity grids in place of traditional utility infrastructures to ensure energy efficiency and a future that consumes a significantly lesser amount of fossil fuels. The authors use fictional advice from historical characters to examine how they would attempt to reform energy policy in terms of mitigating adverse health impacts, pollution, and climate change. The figures referenced are former U.S. Army officer George S. Patton, environmental advocate and “Silent Spring” author Rachel Carson, and Indian reformer and orator Mahatma Gandhi.
