The article presents information on the development of sustainable communities in Australia as spearheaded by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). The GBCA has partnered with VicUrban and Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) to work on projects in improving the environmental operation of buildings and infrastructure in urbanized areas. They have developed assessment systems and contributed efforts on shaping well sustained communities across Australia.. |
