| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the growth in renewable energy feed-in tariffs (FITs) in the promotion of renewable energy development. It cites the progress in FIT development, and the policies that address issues of energy security and climate change. It also notes the FIT schemes being experimented by governments worldwide and the design options for implementing FITs. According to the article, FITs are already used in around 50 countries, states and provinces due to technology export and energy security potential. Furthermore, it states that FITs play an important role in the global shift to renewable energy system. |
