Abstrakt: | The article discusses the significance of Banjul Charter in Kenya. It says that the Charter was adopted to promote public welfare in a continent where human rights violations are the norm. It also says that the charter works for the achievement of environmental protection and socio-economic development in the region. It also provides extensive civil and political rights as well as socio-economic and cultural rights. Moreover, the charter helps poor people in securing their rights, enhancing their human capabilities and escaping from poverty. |
