The article discusses the highlights of the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) Convention which was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2009. The convention recorded an increase in BIR membership and attendance, with emphasis on the large delegation from India, as well as plenary debates on the issue of end of waste. It is mentioned that World President Dominique Maguin was encouraged to stay for two years in the organization. |
