Abstrakt:	Chapter 3 of the book "Incentives & Conservation: The Next Generation of Environmentalists" is presented. It illustrates the success attained by private individuals belonging to the Anglers' Conservation Association (ACA) in battling both pollution and government agencies which promote pollution. Since 1948, the ACA has quietly and successfully worked to improve and maintain the quality of rivers in England and Wales.
